On Valentines Day, The Animation Guild blog posted an article regarding the status of Disney Telvision Animation and in an excerpt thy said that the PnF staff is not their anymore and their offices are empty.
This lead to many people thinking that Phineas and Ferb has been cancelled. And honestly, I didn't believe it one bit. For one, the article was really vague about the status of the show. and they NEVER said that the show was cancelled. And personally, I rather hear the confirmation from either Dan, Swampy or anyone in the Phineas and Ferb team like Aliki confirm it.
And sure enough, I was right.
Swampy confirmed on twitter that Phineas and Ferb is going on hiatus after Season 4 ends. Here's the tweet to prove it. twitter.com/mmonogram/status/4…
Aliki also confirmed this as well. twitter.com/alikigreeky/status…
And for a while people thought everything was fine for now.........and then CartoonBrew posted an article saying that Phineas and Ferb is cancelled. Once again, jumping to conclusions yet again. Now at the time of this posting, CartoonBrew corrected their mistaked and edited their article, but the point still stands, people are jumping to conclusions.
Aliki responded to this article as well. twitter.com/alikigreeky/status…
So to those who think that PnF is getting cancelled, it is not and Swampy and Aliki confirmed it.
However the question is this. Swampy also said in the tweet that When PnF does go on hiatus, they are "making plans for what is to follow" What are they planning?
We don't know, and we probably won't know until they announce it. Maybe they might reveal it at Comic-Con cause let's be honest, after this fiasco, people WILL ask Dan and Swampy questions at this year's Comic-Con regarding this fiasco. But for now, we won't know until the time comes.
But I respect your opinion.
I think so.
After all, the Star Wars Special is coming out this year. So they might want to go their to promote that and they might announced the other 5 specials as well.
More than likely, they have other projects that they want to focus on, including the film that's on hold.
Who knows? Maybe they're going to look at the Fireside Girls spin-off. Or perhaps it will be something entirely different.
It'll give me a chance to catch up on episodes, at the very least.
Actually, according to Dan in a recent podcast, the movie is on hold indefinatley.
My guess is that it's either a 5th season, or a spin-off or maybe the movie. But those are all guesses. We'll just have to wait and see.
It' technically not a bad thing. Like I said, it will be on hiatus after season 4. And judging what Swampy said, the show might return one day. But we won't know until they reveal more about this.
Have you seen Happy Birthday Isabella?
